Fractional and advisory
Build an org that keeps up with your growth
Fractional leadership for growth-stage companies whose teams are straining to keep pace. I work with leadership teams to get structure, operating rhythm, and people working as well as the product does.
The problem
Sound familiar?
The team doubled, but decisions are slower than ever.
Leaders are stretched thin, and the same problems keep coming back.
You know something has to change, but not what or where to start.
Everyone is busy, and it’s unclear if they’re working on the right things.
This is the point where companies either build the org that carries them forward or lose momentum to friction. I help you build it.
The outcome
What you get
A clear read on what's actually slowing the org down, beyond what shows up in meetings.
Clarity
Roles, rhythms, and decision-making that fit the company you're becoming.
Structure
A leadership team that spends less time firefighting and more time building.

About
Joyce Shin
I've spent my career inside fast-growing companies, building the teams and systems that let them scale. As Head of Design Operations at Dropbox, I led a 160-person org with a $40M budget. Before that I built and scaled teams at Instacart, CNN, and 1-800-FLOWERS.
I hold a B.S. in Neuroscience from Emory and an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business, so I work at the intersection of how people perform and how organizations run.
Questions
Growth-stage companies, typically from Series A through pre-IPO, where the org is changing faster than its structure.
What size companies do you work with?
Yes. I'm based in New York and work with teams everywhere, with on-site time available when it helps.
Do you work remotely?
Can we start with the sprint and continue?
Yes, that's the most common path. The sprint shows what needs to happen, and the fractional role is how it gets done.
Let’s talk about where your org is headed.
20 minutes.
No pitch deck or preparation required.
